1. Introduction

MeAside ("we", "our", or "us") provides software services for grassroots football teams, automated tournaments, and community sports management. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have concerning your data.

2. Information We Collect in v2

We collect information necessary to operate football teams, schedules, and community features:

• Profile & Account: Your display name, handle, avatar photo, playing position, and email address or phone number for authentication.
• Teams & Competitions: Squad rosters, member roles (Captain, Manager, Player), matchday attendance RSVPs, tournament fixtures, and match results.
• Direct & Squad Messages: In-app team chat communications sent between squad members.
• Free-Agent Listings: If you list yourself as looking for a game, we publish only your chosen city, preferred positions, and football bio (never exact real-time GPS coordinates).
• Digital Wallet & Ledger Data: For users who opt into team treasuries, public cryptographic wallet addresses and transaction receipts on the public blockchain ledger are processed. We do not store private keys or seed phrases.
• Identity Verification (KYC): If you participate in prize-bearing tournaments exceeding compliance thresholds, identity documents are processed directly by licensed identity verification partners (e.g., Sumsub/Persona). MeAside does not store your government ID copies.
• Hashed Contact Matching: If you choose to discover friends on MeAside, phone numbers in your address book are cryptographically hashed on your device before matching. You can opt out at any time in app settings.
• Device & Analytics: Anonymized usage data, push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging), and non-PII performance metrics.

3. No Invasive Location Tracking

MeAside does not collect continuous background location or GPS tracking. Player discovery and tournament participation are based solely on the self-declared city or sports venue you choose.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We collaborate with reputable infrastructure providers who process data strictly under confidentiality agreements:

• Google Firebase: Cloud Firestore, Authentication, and push notification infrastructure.
• Circle & Wallet Infrastructure: Non-custodial wallet infrastructure for USDC digital currency.
• Licensed Payment & On-Ramp Partners: Mobile money and card payment processors adhering to PCI-DSS standards.

5. Data Retention & Blockchain Immutability

We retain account and team data only for as long as your account remains active. When you delete your account, your personal profile, phone number, messages, and private data are permanently erased from our databases within 30 days. Please note that transactions executed on the public blockchain distributed ledger are cryptographically permanent and cannot be modified or erased.

6. Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to access, rectify, download, or delete your personal data at any time. You can request full data deletion directly in the app or via our Data Deletion Request Page.
